Imagine, ABQ is more than just a name—it’s a passionate initiative born from the hearts of Albuquerque locals who deeply care about their city. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to restore hope and vitality to Albuquerque through community-driven efforts.
What is Imagine, ABQ?
Imagine, ABQ is a citywide movement designed to rally the entire community—individuals, groups, businesses, and beyond—in a collective effort to clean up and beautify our city. Our flagship event, Imagine, ABQ Day, is scheduled for the last Saturday of September each year. This year, mark your calendars for Saturday, September 27th, and join us in making a difference.
IMAGINE THAT! 2023 and 2024 Recap
In 2023 and 2024, the Imagine, ABQ Day was a resounding success thanks to the hard work and dedication of our community:
- We cleaned and landscaped the yards of 11 homes in Albuquerque.
- Students from PAPA and local artists came together to paint 3 vibrant murals.
- We collected over 20,000 lbs of trash from various locations around the city.
- More than 2,300 volunteers from across Albuquerque lent their time and effort.
- Over 50 generous sponsors supported our cause.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Our goal for 2025 is to build on this success by increasing community involvement and expanding our impact. While trash pick-up remains a crucial part of our mission, our vision extends beyond cleanliness. We aim to restore hope and unity in Albuquerque, fostering a renewed sense of pride and belonging in our city.
